the fine print
The session fee is for the photographer's time, talent, and expertise. It includes travel to the location of your choice within a 25 mile radius of the studio (additional travel fees beyond 25 miles) and the un-rushed unique capture of life during your session. Also included is the individualized post processing of approximately 35-45 carefully hand edited images that will be presented to you in your own private proofing session within 2 weeks post session. Unless otherwise specified, portrait prints, products, or digital images are not included with the session fee and are purchased separately.
Session fees are to be paid in full at the time of booking with a signed contract and is 100% non-refundable. If contract and session fee is not received 14 days prior to your session date, your session will be canceled and your spot forfeited.
-Session fees cover immediate family only, $25 each for additional individuals, or a custom quote for large multi generation families.
-The session fee is required as a retainer to secure the photographer for all sessions. Your session may be rescheduled up to one time unless illness or weather was a factor, for those instances we will happily accommodate as many times as needed, within reason. We ask that rescheduled date take place within 60 days or the retainer will be forfeited or applied to a later session.
-Sick babies and parents are not allowed in the studio, due to the work I do with newborns it is very important that I keep a strict healthy environment. If you must cancel an appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule.
-All sessions include up to 25 miles of travel in any direction. Additional mileage incurs a travel charge of $.70/mile.
-All images are the property of Kelley Cook of Simply Joy Photography and are copyright protected. Please note that it is illegal to scan prints, right-click or screen shot images featured on the web site or the blog, sell or alter images received in digital or print format.
-All images are naturally edited with mild blemish control and softening. Dark circles under eyes are lightened if needed. Natural occurring lines and facial expressions are not altered to differ from the subject's appearance at the time of the photo session. Pixel manipulation/composites will only be done upon request and will be subject to an additional editing fee. Images provided at viewing session will be as natural as possible with subtle color and lighting corrections. Ordered images will receive full attention and more detailed editing in Photoshop.
-Print and product prices are guaranteed for 30 days from the date of your session. Prices are subject to change at any time.
-Collection pricing is only available at the in-person viewing/ordering session. All other orders are subject to the regular a-la-carte-price list.
-The images from your session are available for a period of 30 days from the date of your order, unless you are participating in Milestone Session. After that time, only ordered images will be archived, all others will be purged or reserved for studio use.
-Due to the custom nature of the art produced, all sales are final. If any defect in a print is determined, the studio will re-print at our discretion.
-All print orders take approximately 2-3 weeks, canvases and other custom or boutique products may take longer. Turn around time may vary during studio closures, late summer and fall.
